An itinerary of art, photography and the correspondence that Giovanni Pascoli and Gabriele D'Annunzio exchanged and which reveal today even more their actuality and greatness. The modernity of their intuitions will be described in the mirror. Magnifiche Presenze is one of the exhibitions of the homonymous project inaugurated on June 1 at Vittoriale degli Italian and June 3 at the Giovanni Pascoli house in Castelvecchio Pascoli, which sees the three great poets of the Italian tradition - Giovanni Pascoli, Gabriele D'Annunzio and Giosuè Carducci - in the mirror, through the description of their dwellings.
After the exhibition at the Vittoriale degli Italiani (Gardone Riviera), at Casa Pascoli (Castelvecchio Pascoli) and at Versiliana (Pietrasanta), the project is enriched by the person of Puccini and the images of the Villa of Torre del Lago, the favorite of the Maestro who it will be celebrated next to the figures of Giovanni Pascoli and Gabriele d'Annunzio.
The exhibitions - a photo by Caterina Salvi Westbrooke, and one of paintings by Sandra Rigali - have the aim to bring together, bring to dialogue and bring into the future the heritage of these great characters through the artistic and literary knowledge of the places where they chose live.
The project is curated by ZonaFranca publisher of Franca Severini, (Lucca) and is born from the study of the homes of poets where they found the right harmony for their studies and compositions.
The Giovanni Pascoli Foundation and the Municipality of Barga are the main promoters of Magnifica Presenze, with the Vittoriale degli italiani, the Tuscany region, the regional council of Tuscany and the Lombardy region, as well as the Sirio Giannini di Seravezza European study center, the study center for the European literatures of Turin, the Alberto Magri house museum and the numerous technical contributions that come from important companies in various sectors.
