Summer has arrived and the tourist system Corchia Underground awaits you!
The Antro del Corchia cave with its 70 km of tunnels and shafts, and the maximum difference in height of about 1200 m, is one of the largest karst systems in the world and by far the most important in Italy. Located a few kilometers from the coast, in the Apuan Alps can be easily reached from the sea in little more than a half hour journey.
About two kilometers of Antro are equipped for tourist visits, thanks to walkways and steps made of steel, thus allowing anyone who wishes to delve into the wonders of this world made of underground waterfalls and crystal clear lakes, immense vaults, surreal canyons and gigantic concretions.
For those who are unable to reach the Cave by their own means, there will be also this year in the months of July and August a free connection Beach-Mountain, provided by the Cooperative Sviluppo e Futuro. So, from the coast you can reach in total comfort the village of Levigliani and participate in the guided tour of the cave, just buying a ticket that includes transportation.
Tuesdays, the service will concern the following cities: Torre del Lago Puccini, Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta, Seravezza and Pietrasanta center. concretions.
Thursdays the following locations will instead be affected by the service: Partaccia, Marina di Massa, Cinquale, Forte dei Marmi, Querceta and Seravezza. The departure from Partaccia is at 8:30, returning from Levigliani 12:30.
