Lucca is the only Italian stage in the European tour of the legendary Rolling Stones band. The concert in the Tuscan town - sold out a few hours after the tickets were available online - will have as scenary the fascinating location of the powerful sixteenth-century urban wall, an indisputable symbol of Lucca. The evening is also the occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lucca Summer Festival, the organizer of the gig.
As always, the Rolling Stones will give their European fans a set list of great classics as well as some songs from their latest album "Blue & Lonesome", in which the band returns to its blues roots.
The city of Lucca, in order to meet the needs of the many fans who will pour into the city on September 23rd has organized an ad hoc mobility plan including some special trains for the after-concert and thousands of parking stalls.
In addition, on the official website of the event you can book a coach return journey from many different Italian cities. The initiative is organized by the agency EventinBus.
For those coming from the cities near Lucca, there are some special trains that at the end of the concert will bring fans to Viareggio, Pisa (possible connection to Livorno), Garfagnana and Florence with stops in the intermediate stations. The cost of tickets will not increase compared to the regular rates. It is advisable, given the massive turnout, to buy the return ticket in advance.
